First, make sure you align the holes in the plate with those in the body (they're both off-center).  Next, position the plate so it will drop into the opening, then drop it in.  The plate will only go in when aligned this one way!  Align the holes in the plate with those in the body, then drop in the longer bolts that SAS supplies.  A magnet might help with installation of the bolts.  NOTE: This is for the passenger side; the driver's side is the reverse.
